Regan Murphy, AM, LCSW
Regan Murphy is a Licensed Clinical Therapist and DBT and ACT Specialist. Regan earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern and her graduate degree from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration.
Regan is deeply committed to helping people develop and pursue the life they want to live. Regan approaches her role as a collaborator, consultant and coach to help you reach your goals. She will support you in identifying barriers that are holding you back; will help you to increase motivation and self-compassion; and will help you enhance your capacity to respond to stressors. She strives to provide a safe and reliable relationship, and creates an inviting space to promote discussion around your thoughts, feelings, actions, goals, and values.
Regan specializes in mindfulness-based therapies, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which help people struggling with thoughts, emotions, impulses and relationships. She has particular expertise and interest in helping people impacted by depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, life transitions, and family/relationship issues.
Regan sees adults for individual therapy as well as couple’s therapy. She also facilitates one of our weekly DBT skills groups.
