Hi, I’m Eric!

I work with adolescents (16+), young adults, adult men, couples, and families who are feeling stuck—whether that shows up as anxiety, depression, relationship stress, navigating sobriety, difficulty launching into adulthood, or uncertainty about what comes next. Many of the people I meet are in that frustrating in-between stage where you know something needs to change, but you’re not sure how to move forward or why things keep feeling so hard.

Who I Help

For young adults and families, that “stuck” feeling can show up as what people often call failure to launch. Maybe you’re struggling to find direction, feeling overwhelmed by the pressure to figure life out, avoiding responsibilities, spending more time isolated or online than you'd like, or feeling like everyone around you is moving ahead while you’re standing still. Or maybe you're a parent wondering how your child can be so bright and capable yet seem unable to gain traction. You may have tried encouragement, tough love, giving space, stepping in more—and now everyone feels frustrated, disconnected, and unsure what to do next.

I especially enjoy supporting adult men and high-achieving professionals who often appear to have things together on the outside while quietly carrying stress, burnout, pressure, or uncertainty underneath. You may be successful at work, constantly showing up for others, and checking all the boxes while still feeling disconnected or wondering, Is this really it? You might be navigating career questions, fatherhood, relationship challenges, shifting priorities, or trying to reconcile where you thought life would be by now with where you actually are.

I also support people navigating sobriety or rethinking their relationship with substances. Whether you’re newly sober or maintaining long-term recovery, therapy can provide space to make sense of shifting relationships, stress, identity, and the challenges that come with building a life that feels meaningful and sustainable.

What Working Together Looks Like

My approach is active, collaborative, and grounded in real conversation. I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods along—I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer direct feedback, and help you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck while making sure you feel supported and understood.

Therapy with me is a place where you can be honest, challenged, and feel like we’re working on something together. My goal isn’t just to help you understand yourself better—it’s to help you create meaningful change in your day-to-day life.

Couples & Families

Relationships and family dynamics are another area I care deeply about. I help couples and families navigate conflict, communication breakdowns, and recurring patterns that leave everyone feeling frustrated or disconnected.

You may find yourselves having the same arguments over and over, walking on eggshells, feeling misunderstood, or wanting things to improve but not knowing how to get there. Parents and teenagers can begin to feel like they’re speaking entirely different languages. Couples may feel more like roommates than partners. Families often want closeness but find themselves caught in cycles that create distance instead.

I help create a space where everyone can feel heard while moving toward healthier and more productive ways of relating.

Experience & Approach

My experience across residential treatment, PHP, and IOP settings, most recently as a therapist at Compass Health Center, allows me to support people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, ASD, life transitions, and challenges that can leave people feeling stuck.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you build practical tools you can begin using right away.

I also bring a personal understanding of struggle into my work. Having experienced challenges in my own life, I know what it’s like to sit on both sides of the therapy room. That perspective gives me a deeper appreciation for how difficult it can be to ask for help and allows me to bring an added level of empathy, authenticity, and understanding into our work together.

A Little About Me

I grew up in the Chicagoland area before heading out west for school, where I developed a love for skiing and the outdoors. I played baseball growing up and remain a loyal—and optimistic—Chicago Cubs fan.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family and appreciate the role connection and community play in helping people feel grounded.
