Therapist for Women & Adults Navigating Life Transitions, Trauma, and Identity

Hi, I’m Kim. I help people create a more compassionate relationship with themselves while navigating the complexities of life. Whether you’re working through relational or childhood trauma, processing grief, facing a major life transition, or just feeling stuck in anxiety or self-doubt—I’m here to support you.

I create a safe, empowering space where all parts of you are welcome. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real-life experience. As a divorced mother of two adult daughters who started fresh later in life, I know how disorienting transitions can be—and how much strength it takes to begin again. You don’t have to do it alone.

I specialize in working with women from the BIPOC community who are navigating the intersection of race, gender, class, and sexuality. Therapy with me is a space to explore your identity, challenge generational patterns, and reclaim your voice. I’m passionate about making therapy accessible, relatable, and culturally attuned—especially for those who’ve been told they had to keep it all together for too long.

When I’m not working, you can find me soaking in the energy of a live jazz set, exploring Chicago’s farmer’s markets, or finding peace by the lake.

My Approach

  • Relational, compassionate, and trauma-informed
  • Eclectic and personalized to your needs
  • Rooted in ACT, DBT, CBT, and Compassion-Focused Therapy
  • Always focused on your values, strengths, and lived experiences

Credentials

  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
  • MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Moody Theological Seminary
  • Experience across school settings, hospitals, community mental health, and private practice
